5 Reasons Why Nokia Is Better Than Blackberry

The nokia is a technology corporation company owned by subsidiary Navteq which based in Finland and their principal products are mobiles and portable IT devices. They also offer application which can be downloaded from Ovi store. According to Wikipedia, Nokia was the world's largest vendor of mobile phones from 1998 to 2012. Nokia was first known to Java and Symbian but later in the year of 2011, they started making window phones. Nokia became world's second largest mobile phone maker by 2012 unit sales after samsung, with a global market share of 22.5% in the first quarter of 2012.

The BlackBerry is a mobile handheld device and services designed and marketed by Research In Motion Limited. The first BlackBerry device, which "Blackberry 850", was introduced in 1999 as a two-way pager in Munich, Germany. The name BlackBerry was discovered by the marketing company Lexicon Branding based in California, United States. The name was chosen due to the resemblance of the keyboard's buttons to that of the droplets that compose the blackberry fruit. BlackBerry devices support a large variety of instant messaging features, with the most popular being the proprietary BlackBerry Messenger services.

Differences Between Them

  • Price. Blackberry devices seem to be in high price more than Nokia devices. The recent blackberry device which is "Blackberry Z10" cost $550 on the market while Nokia Lumia 92 which seems to have the same features with Z10 cost $400 on the market. So if I can get Nokia Lumia 920 running window operating system and have the same features with Z10 with that amount, why I would bother myself to waste such money on Blackberry Z10? Though it's a choice matter.

  • Battery. When it comes to battery life,  it's a known fact that Blackberry's batteries are not as long lasting as the Nokia's batteries. Nokia has a long life battery than the Blackberry. Maybe it is because of blackberry messaging that makes the battery not to be lasting longer but Nokia also has a whatsapp too. Lets compare Blackberry Z10 and Nokia Lumia 920 together, Z10 standard battery life is 312hrs while Lumia 920 400hr.  Talk time on Z10 is 10hrs and Lumia is 17hr. So, can you see the difference now? Nokia is far better than the Blackberry in battery life.
  • Gaming. Gaming experience on Nokia can not be compared to Blackberry. I'm not really sure if Blackberry got a good gaming experience because most of their users used complain about that, but if you are looking for a phone with a good battery life and good gaming experience. Nokia is the phone that suite your need, Nokia has some good quality HD GAMES with a good graphic. Though it's not all Nokia devices runs the HD GAMES. Here the lists of Nokia devices that runs the HD GAMES: Nokia E7, N8, E6, X6, Lumia generation and etc.

  • Application. Android and Ios has a larger number of applications than both of them, but BlackBerry can also sidelined android applications meaning Android applications can work on Blackberry. It was also said that Google might start developing applications for BlackBerry later in the future. So, Blackberry has more applications than Nokia.
  • Inbuilt Radio. Most of Nokia devices have inbuilt radio, including their window 8 devices but Blackberry don't have such thing on their devices. I don't even know the reason why they didn't add an inbuilt radio to their devices because inbuilt radio is easier to use than internet radio. It will consume less battery than internet radio and it doesn't require internet versatility like internet radio.
Conclusion: Both devices are good and awesome, but Nokia has more advantages over Blackberry.
